Mooney Boats Ltd. has delivered a new 10-meter steel landing craft, the “Cuan Brig,” to the National Trust in Northern Ireland. The vessel is designed for Category C Tidal water operations on Strangford Lough.

Designed for Island Maintenance
The “Cuan Brig” was designed by Ian Paton of S.C Mc Alistair and will be used for transporting cargo and personnel essential for the National Trust’s work. This includes:
The vessel will support the National Trust staff in maintaining the flora and fauna on various islands within Strangford Lough.
Successful Delivery and Testing
Following construction at Mooney Boats Ltd’s yard, the “Cuan Brig” underwent sea trials and a stability test. The vessel was then transported by road for delivery to the National Trust at Strangford Lough on June 25th, 2014. After successful official sea trials witnessed by a MECAL surveyor, the handover to the National Trust was completed, and the vessel is now in operation.
