LEE MOONEY

Lee Mooney is the managing director of Mooney Boats Ltd. He has been working here 24 years having started out as a qualified welder/fabricator. Lee now is responsible for the day to day running of the company.

DARRON CONNOLLY

Darron started at the company 18 years ago as a welder/fabricator and is now in the role of boatyard foreman. Darron along with Kevin is responsible for managing all the yards work

Map Press Fittings

Discover the efficiency of Mooney Boats Ltd’s Map Press Fittings – a hazard-free alternative with no open flame required for secure connections. We stock and commonly use Map Press fittings, available in Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Copper, and CuNiFe. Suitable for various supply systems, including Fuel, Oil, Seawater, and Black Water, Map Press offers secure connections in non-rusting materials. Press Brake

Our 200-ton Baykal press brake is capable of a bending length of 4.1 meters. It requires 60% less energy and oil consumption on average compared to the standard hydraulic press breaks.

Rolls

Our 4-roll CNC-controlled plate rolling machine is capable of rolling a 2.05-meter plate up to 15mm.

Pipe bending

Our CNC bending machine give us the capability of bending heavy wall pipe up to 60mm in diameter and CNC punching up to 30mm in diameter.

Non-Destructive Testing (MSO & Class Approved)

DNV Approved Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement

Megger and Pat Testing

By conducting thorough Megger testing, we reduce the likelihood of wiring issues that could lead to electrical failures, fires, or shorts.

Additionally, we offer PAT testing reports for both marine and non-marine domestic equipment, utilizing PAT testers (portable appliance testers) to detect potential safety problems and reduce the risk of electrical shock.PAT Testing is regulated by the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 in Ireland and implemented under Statutory Instrument S.I. No.299 of 2007, effective since November 2007. Mooney Boats Ltd can complete detailed reports for audits, insurance, and health and safety requirements.

Shaft & Bushing Report
